Schema markup for GEO is the practice of adding structured data to your pages so generative engines can identify what you sell, who you are and where you operate without guessing. You do not need twenty types. In practice, five do the work for B2B exporters, manufacturers and SaaS companies, and the rest is noise until your entity is solid.

Notice what is missing: no star ratings you do not have, no review counts you cannot substantiate, no aggregateRating invented by a plugin. Step by step: building the entity home first
The entity home is your Organization node. It is the anchor that tells an engine "this domain, this brand, this address and these profiles are one thing." Get it wrong and every downstream type inherits the confusion.
- Pick one canonical URL per entity. Your homepage, https, no trailing slash variant, no www and non-www both live. Redirect the loser.
- Write the Organization block with real values. Legal name, url, logo, address, contactPoint with a monitored email and phone. If you have a Beijing office and a warehouse in another country, list the address that matches your registration.
- Add sameAs with only the profiles you actually maintain. LinkedIn company page, official YouTube, a verified X account, industry association listings. A dead Facebook page from 2019 weakens the cluster rather than strengthening it.
- Connect people to the organization. Founders and named experts get Person nodes with jobTitle and sameAs to their professional profiles. This is how EEAT signals become machine-readable instead of just implied in prose.
- Validate before you move on. Run the page through the Schema Markup Validator and Google's Rich Results Test. Fix errors, not just warnings, then move to Service and FAQPage.

If your entity is a mess across the web (inconsistent company name, three different phone numbers, profiles under personal accounts), fix that before adding more markup. Service and Offer markup on commercial pages
A Service node describes what you do and for whom. For an industrial exporter, that means naming the service (custom manufacturing, OEM production, EPC contracting), the provider, the areaServed and the audience. Vague values like "worldwide" for everything are less useful than a real list: Germany, the UK, Australia, Canada, the Gulf states.
Offer is where most teams overreach. Only mark up commercial terms you are willing to publish. If your pricing is quote-based, skip Offer and put the qualifying detail in the page copy and FAQ instead. If you do publish tiers, keep the currency, unit and validity consistent with what a buyer sees on the page, because a mismatch between visible text and markup is exactly the kind of contradiction that erodes trust in the extract.
Product pages deserve their own pass. Name, description, SKU, material, dimensions, and a short FAQ answering the two questions every buyer asks before an inquiry: lead time and minimum order quantity. FAQPage: the highest-yield type for GEO, used correctly
FAQPage is the most direct lever you have. It packages a question and its answer as one unit, which is precisely the shape a generative engine needs when it composes a cited response. Used badly, it is also the easiest way to waste effort.
Three rules we apply on every GEO build. First, one question per node, phrased the way buyers actually type it, not the way your sales deck phrases it. Second, the answer must stand alone in 40 to 80 words with the key fact in the first sentence, because the engine may quote only that sentence. Third, the FAQ must live on the page that owns the topic, not dumped in a footer widget across the whole site. A footer FAQ on 200 pages is thin duplicate content; a focused FAQ on the page about hoist load ratings is an asset.

Validation is a five-minute habit, not a project.
